Thanks Jorge

When I get my .500 Jeffery 100% up and running then I will have the perfect rifle battery.
The scope is VXIII 4,5-14X50 with 30mm tube

Cheers,

Andr

That's a beautiful, classic rifle, and the top mounts sure beat those old side mounts.

In my view, the side mounts that were prevalent years ago simply ruin the lines of a nice rifle. Looks like yours had them, and that they have been removed.

BTW, is that the original cheekpiece, or did you reshape it? It's very nice.

It was originally with a Griffin and Howe sidemount, I still have that but it was with 1" rings. so I put the leupold QDW mount on it.
The stock is original Winchester from 1949, with checkering around the pistol grip. It looked terrible with the lack finish when I bought it for $1100 HA HA.
It is a nice everyday rifle and i wroks every time, I am taking it to Scotland on 24 april for Roe Buck overkill

Cheers,

Andr

$1,100.00!!!!!!!!!!

Even a fair condition pre-64 with non-original modifications in .375 sells for close to $2,000.00 these days.

Congratulations on a nice rifle and a nice deal, too.

I'll give you $1500. and you keep the scope. That way you turn a profit at my expense. OK?

Well rcasto

I put a lot of work into it, but in Europe the pre-64 are not that popular, people do not apreciate them like Americans and Africans do. They built then nicely back then.
I do know what it is worth and will not sell it right now.

Cheers,

Andr
