I hope to hunt buffalo this summer in an area where we may be hunting large herds. Question is 300 SAF or the 350 Woodleigh's? If the 350's, RN or PP? Thanks "D"

I shot my last couple of buffalo with the SAF 300GR. One did exit on a through and through lung shot. I think in most cases that bullet will stay in if the shot is through or into the shoulder. Will a 350 Woodleigh have more or less penetration? I don't know.

The 350 Woodleigh RN was designed to, and will stop on the off side skin, and the PP will go through them 99% of the time.. If you slow the Northfork 300 gr. down to about 2400 FPS it will stop on the off side skin and kill very well indeed... When all is said an done, it is better for the sportsman to wait out the situation for a clear shot as this business of stopping the bullet is only 95 to 99% sure depending on Murphy...but you are smart in preparing for such an event.
