Turns out it ain't another dead lion after all....

DEAD DOG MISTAKEN FOR LION CAUSES PANDEMONIUM

Rundu residents, street vendors and businesspeople on Tuesday morning flocked to the Ndama informal settlement on the outskirts of town to look at a dead ‘lion’ that was hung from a tree with a wire.
To their surprise, the ‘lion’ turned out to be a large dog that was mistaken for a lion because of its size and long hair.
The curious bystanders only dispersed after Ministry of Environment and Tourism officials confirmed that it was a dog.
“I carried this gun to the scene so I can protect myself in case it was a real lion,” said one of the security guards who had abandoned his post to rush to the scene.
It is still not known who the owner of the dog was or why it was hanging from a tree.
The Police said they would press animal cruelty charges against the owner once he or she is identified. – Nampa
