The latest on this issue is that AA is talking to NRA about fixing the problem which stems from fines they have received from the UK government because of firearms transportation violations.

At the moment they seem to want to fix the problem.

Will advise when there is more information.

Go to african travel forum. i received word late this p.m. that part of the ban is now rescinded. I posted a synopsis there as i can't figure out a cut and paste.

If BA can figure it out then AA can too.

Last week I flew twice through Heathrow on BA, both times with a rifle, and BA handled it flawlessly - thanks, no doubt, to BA's experience and the assistance I received from Kathi in complying with BA's (and, by extension, the UK's) rules.
