To all my friends, and that excludes no one,not even my arch rival ASS CLOWN!

I am off to Boise to catch my flight to Dar es Salaam, the worlds most beatiful city where I will meet with Saeed and gang for our yearly sojourn into the selous where many buffalo, and what not will be chased and collected with various calibers and test bullets..My favorite ritual will again take place, and fun will be had by all....just be carefull where you step, as it gets pretty deep from time to time, except by yours truly of course, heaven knows I wouldn't expound on a good story!

But I assure you the Buffalo are as many as stars in the sky, one can shoot in any direction and sluse them like ducks with a punt gun, and 50 inchers abound like ants on suger cubes..

Shock and awe will take place for 21 days this year, we cut it short this year, as we had fear of everyone surviving another one like last year...Walter left gilflurted and stringhaultered and we wouldn't want that to happen again, the second time is fatal don't cha see!

God Bless all of you and may he take a lik'en to ya'll.....

I broke my leg in the Selous (on my first hunting day), so DEFINITELY be careful of where you step. Have a wonderful and successful hunt. D. Nelson

Ray,

I'm sure everything will go just fine as long as they don't let you drive.

Best o' luck, Ray.

I'm definitely lookin' forward to the daily reports from Saeed. It has been one of the highlites of my year for quite a few years now, but this time we won't have to endure the usual 3 to 4 weeks of waiting to find out the details of our annual "vicarious buffalo hunt"! (My vicarious bag so far is very impressive! )

Safe travel to all,

Canuck

Hey Ole Hoss, put the lead where it belongs, I sure would hate to have to take your place next year, because you are all bunged up from a buffler hook!

Don't loose your shovel over there. You will need it when you get back here. Oh, by the way, knock 'em dead.

Ray ----- Good luck and good shooting, with only one request. Leave two of the Biggest Black Horned Devils for me in October. Pierre will probably have to change concessions after you, Saeed, Walter and party get through. Safe hunting.

I joined the conversation too late...I didn't realize Ray was leaving so soon for the "killathon". I met him in Dar es Salaam last year as his group had just returned from the Selous. I was on my way in for the first time. I had time to talk to him long enough to learn that his group had litteraly "piled 'um up, deep and wide". Blood, guts, hair, teeth and eyeballs covered the African plains from hence he came! I couldn't wait to get in there...hopefully they left some for seed! I had the most wonderful hunting experience of my life (except for a bout with the "squirts"). I'm headed back there in 2005 and can't wait until Ray returns to hear the tales of his exploits.
