Crocodile victim identified 16/02/2008 10:43 - (SA) Polokwane - A man who was killed by a crocodile earlier this month was finally identified on Friday. The man was crossing the Lepelle River in Lebowakgomo near Polokwane on February 2 when the crocodile caught him, said Lebowakgomo police spokesperson Inspector Manong Tshehla. He said the man was identified as 20-year-old Ezekiel Ngwanamosadi Mphahlele of Nkotokwane village. "A fisherman found his body about 5km down the river," said Tshehla. Tshehla urged people to be cautious when crossing rivers, saying the Lepelle River had many crocodiles. In September last year, a woman was strangled and then thrown into the river. When her body was found, her legs had been eaten off by crocodiles and her stomach was ripped open. No one has been arrested for her murder yet.
