Today's story is in response to the continued effort of the UK to ban the import of hunting trophies. It is a rare bit of hypocrisy that those who state that Western Countries should not meddle in the affairs of African nations are more than happy to do so when it comes to those countries furry and hooved natural resources.
Wildlife must compete with the other needs of the modern world. Hunting pays for the land, anti-poaching efforts, and the communities that have tied themselves to the growth and maintenance of the wildlife populations. Let Africans decide what is best for African wildlife!

The West likes to interfere in other countries business, but they don't like it when someone tells them they are wrong.

I love it when these cretins use words and terms that humanize animals.

I'm quite surprised "The Guardian" printed that story as it is the paper of choice for educated liberal/socialists. The story is more even-handed than most articles on the subject in the UK press, and it could have been much worse. I can only conclude that it is an opportunity to have a go at the Conservative government even if the "Guardian readership abhor trophy hunting even more than Boris Johnson's wife and friends.

Ricky Gervais is a very funny guy. I will admit to not knowing how to be a comedian and actor, but he should admit to knowing fuck all about conservation...

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.
