Dear All,
My good friends at Omujeve Safaris harvested this giant, yesterday in the WaterBerg Plateau with a lucky hunter from Texas. As you know, this is the only place to hunt buffalo outside of the caprivi in Namibia, and is 100% free-range. Anyone interested in hunting buff with them?!?!? I would like to reserve spot #1.

Enjoy the pics!

Bwana,

LOL, there weren't any helicopters, etc involved...they are a reputable company with many people on AR who've hunted with them. This size buff is one reason people hunt at Waterberg...the trophy quality is incredible.

Congratulation to the outfit and the Texan.

Hard to tell just how big it really is with the hunter way back behind and camera up so close to the head distorting things too much.
Hell of a buff though no matter.
Still it would be a lot better with more distance and having the hunter up near the head.

When Jofie Lamprecht had Waterburg I saw some trail cam photos of some monster bulls.
Apparently there are more out there quite similar to this one.
Mighty fine buff.

I was always told the average width from ear to ear is about 36 inches so you can tell this bull is a monster!! From the first photo anyway.

Just spoke to Corne, Bull actually went 51.25" green.

Best of all is its a great Old Buffalo,

They saw many Bulls in the 44 to 46inch mark,

Well done to all,

JK

Nice old hard-bossed bull. tu2 Looks like the price of that buff hunt (taken from their current website prices) was $15,500.00 in daily rate (minimum of 10 days at $1550.00/day), Plus $16,500 trophy fee, for a grand total (not including tip) of $32K.

I've previously enjoyed two plains game trips to Namibia. Been looking at Caprivi as an elephant destination, but may need to rethink Namibia as a buffalo destination after seeing that.
