Lemco is now known as the Bubye Valley conservancy. The operators are Mazunga Safaris and their website is http://www.mazungasafaris.com/

I have seriously considered it myself for big leopard.

A couple of years ago while hunting Elephant I saw a really nice 46/47 Sable in the Matetsi right up at the Fuller forrest boundary. Saw him on 2 seperate occasions and each time I had a 416 Rigby and just didn't feel up to the shot with it.

I have not been there but I would suggest someone like Ivan Carter who has guided there. In talking to him recently about a buff/leopard hunt, that area came up along with a few others. I understand they do very well there on buff.

I know there are a number of regulars here who have hunted Lemco and done well. You might do a search on the hunt report forum for Lemco. You will get some good info. If you are just now thinking about booking for '08, you might be a bit late if you are set on a particular date or PH. Many PHs are booked pretty strongly for '08 already...at least in prime dates and areas.

My suggestion would be to settle on an operator or PH first and then let them guide you to a good situation as you share with them your thoughts on Lemco or whatever. I say it that way because to me, the PH is a more important function of a good hunt than the area itself. Some will disagree but that's my general position. There are a few exceptions but the good PHs will have the good areas anyway.

The alternative would be to enlist a booking agent (there are several here) and he can get you to a good hunt. Be sure to check references for any hunt and do some research yourself.
