Well, like a lot of other folks here I'm heading off to the Dark Continent. Next Monday I board the plane for my first African adventure - a plains game hunt in Namibia with Vaughan Fulton. The next couple days will surely be filled with last minute details and spending time with the family.

Thanks to all on this forum for the great advice and the inspiration that led me to believe a safari was truly possible. With luck, I'll have a grand story and some great trophy photos when I return on June 29.

Have a great hunt Desertram. I just got back from Namibia and had a blast! Will post pictures and story soon. Be prepared for a long flight and an uncomfortable one too. If you stay a night in Windhoek you have to go to Joe's Beerhouse.
