I believe that those antelope are more commonly known as Hunter's hartebeest. One has to pity the wildlife of Kenya and Somalia these days. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

..or Hunter's Antelope. Too bad. Brett DRSS Life Member SCI Life Member NRA Life Member WSF Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick. And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too. May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep. May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip. -Seth Peterson

Kenya's wildlife... no hunting since around 1980 When the World Bank loaned them 200mil with the stipulation of outlawing hunting... It has been all down hill for the animals in that country... So dont blame hunting for the antelopes dying off... Just plain poaching... Mike

I always knew that animal as a Hunters Heartebeest. Picture looks like an impala.

Yes...that and the ill-distribution of land, deforestation of areas in all likelihood unsuitable for farming, leading to a general destabilization of the wildlife's movement patterns, leaving it with nowhere to go. Top marks to the World Bank !!

Blame hunting for the deterioration of the animal polulations! No hunting = No income = No value = free to poach! With hunting = some income = some value = not free to poach! So blame the lack of hunting for the bad situation. If it pays, it stays! In good hunting. Lack of skills – by practice. Lack of experience – by time doing it. One cannot cure: Stupidity – nothing helps! Anti hunting sentiments – nothing helps! Put-‘n-Take Outfitters – money rules! My very long ago ancestors needed and loved to eat meat. Today I still hunt!
