DSC update from the new CEO

dogcatDSC update from the new CEO
Most organizations rise and fall on the leadership. Rarely do the members drive the organization. If the leaders fail or deviate off mission, the org/group/website community goes down the tubes as well.
DSC is one example as are Biden and the Dems, and others. It can be fixed but takes a strong leader to create vision and turn things around. Dictatorial leaders never last nor do leaders who micro manage. Leaders lead.

crbutlerRe Mr. Fulson- reading the AH post, from the outside, I thought he was very diplomatic. I certainly would have named the director and his wife… and likely got more trouble than it’s worth.
I kind of recall the incident when he left AR. I thought he was pretty thin skinned there- just like Craig Boddington with the issues he had here.
That being said, no one owes anyone being here, and they certainly don’t have to participate.
But once money gets involved folks do strange things.
Unfortunately DSC has become the hunting version of a soap opera.
I personally have no issues with hunting awards, but I also don’t particularly care about them either.
No way in you know what you could get me to wear one of those sashes. Frankly it makes them look like a geriatric frat party.

Yes.
Once money becomes the main factor, reality gets thrown out of the window.
You cannot criticize advertisers.
You cannot recommend anyone who is NOT an advertiser.
Then you are no longer providing an open forum.
You are catering for your paymasters.

SaeedThere was a hunting forum on years ago, I cannot remember the name.
Someone asked about hunting in Zimbabwe, and I recommended Roy.
My post was removed, and I was informed Roy has to advertise on that site before they will allow any recommendations to him.
Told them to take a hike, and I started AR.
Where everyone is free to offer any hunts they wish, and recommended anyone they wish.
Both pros in the business and clients have to stand on their own two feet!
They are open to praise, as well as criticism.
Go look at that thread now since you think that site is so good. let me know what you find if you find anything

Oops, the thread is gone….
Not the first time a thread has been deleted because it was being discussed here!
What a stupid, idiotic, way to run a forum.
12 March 2025, 15:07
Michael RobinsonThis is a new thread over there asking why the DSC thread was deleted.
DSC ThreadI expect this new one will be deleted soon as well.
Freedom of speech over there as opposed to here on AR?
What a joke.

you mean was a new thread that is gone now to. You never question anyone there they are all so full of themselves.

SaeedSomeone sent me the following from there.
If you want to disrespect my friend again, I will happily bounce your ass out of here without another thought.
Charming!
Not shocking they are very tough guys behind the scenes not so much in real life. they really do think there special and think very highly of themselves. The ass kissing there is at a whole other level but for all that think that site is perfect you should see it is ok for a few not all. That site was good at one point but a shell of what it was.

larryshoresPersonally I find AH to be hard to navigate . AR is much easier .
12 March 2025, 21:58
dogcatIt is different to navigate and does not have the detailed content that used to be on AR.
Having been here 21 years and there for 1 year, I prefer the lack of drama and the lack of personal attacks. Their rules are clear and when folks like Baldry violates those rules and is warned, then kicked off - I get it.
So, pick your poison...

Kim Jun Un has rules too.
The biggest drama queen here is you now!
I repeat, you don’t like the way I run AR, get your own.
Run it as you please.
You can still be the only DRAMA QUEEN!
Uncontested by others!

SkylineI was on AH soon after it first fired up. I quickly learned it is tightly controlled and the only views and opinions allowed are those of the administrator and which are friendly towards paying members. The amount of ass kissing that takes place there is just nauseating. I left and have not been back.
This place gets carried away at times, but I still prefer it.

Yes.
Things do tend to go south here sometimes.
But that the price of us having as little control as possible.
Allowing the members to air their views, without us getting heavy handed.
In fact, I think all Moderators here get involved as little as possible.
Only acting in very rare occasions.
And we do appreciate that you making it the way it is.
Tolerance and freedom of expression is respected here.

While I have signed up for AH and as far as I know am still a member, I did not find it as informative as AR. I found it far more difficult to use. I rarely visit it anymore.
The for-profit aspect of AH was and is a massive negative matter to me.
I wish them the best. It jsut isn't my thing.

The final straw for me was being rudely made aware of the fact that the PRIVATE Messaging system there runs software that censors the PRIVATE messages between members.
That is not "okay" in my book.
I left years ago and haven't looked back.
.
they read private messages kind of makes them not soo private.

crbutlerOne difference here is threads get locked, you can still find the Baldry thread in all its (questionable) glory if you want to here.
Frankly, I find Saeed a lot more tolerant than I ever found the whole AH crowd. I wasn’t there long and noted more than a few threads disappeared there.
It’s Jerome’s baby and he’s trying to make money off it.
I’m not against folks making money- but if I’m putting stuff up, I want to be the one compensated not someone else taking the credit.
Saeed has never asked for a dime seriously (some of his April fools things are a bit different… but…)
Yes, the rules aren’t crystal over here. Mainly because Saeed and Don don’t write crap like that AH mod does.

I know you like it there but dont kid yourself. They remove stuff not only some program. Thats why some stuff will post but get removed later. They are nothing more then guys who get butt hurt very easy. Dickburn is mr goggle and thinks he is very special but thinks way to much of him self. He is a keyboard tough guy it is laughable how he comes at people threatening to remove them from a website page.

I came to AR originally as a platform to perform due diligence before booking any hunts. Many on here, you included Larry, have been beyond helpful in that regard.
I didn't know much about AH until someone on here, who is an active member of both AR and AH asked me to share a couple of my hunt reports over there. That's when I realized they will edit posts simply for using the initials AR. Wasn't like I was trying to poach any members to come here.
Then it became apparent that to use the site for due diligent research may not be optimum since there is editing and paid advertising.
I haven't been on there since posting the two hunt reports I shared and let them know why.
I did not get booted for doing so but I will not post there anyway.
Cheers
Jim

You really ARE more stupid than I ever thought.
You wanted to make the forum serve YOUR antagonism against Andrew.
Total disregard to the truth.
You lot took that to another level.
Threatening Ibi and his whole family.
You wanted to bring the FBI and Homeland Security into it, bank fraud and so on.
Conveniently forgetting the whole thing would never have even started if your hero wasn't committing bank fraud and stealing others money!
By the way, are you a lawyer??
That would explain a lot of things.
I wasn't going to allow that, thanks to other members, who are more honest than you will ever know.
13 March 2025, 20:48
SaeedGot asked why we do not have the same “titles” which they apparently have there.
Funny enough some did suggest we do when we first started.
But that idea didn’t appeal to me.
Hence after a few posts, everyone is ONE OF US!
Keeps things simple.
13 March 2025, 22:59
crbutlerSaeed, the only different way I’d suggest (and there is no practical way to do it) is adding something to the extent of someone who has actually been there, done that as far as hunting.
Admittedly, for folks who have it becomes pretty obvious after a bit of interaction, but for folks just starting it can be hard to figure it out.

THAT is censorship.
While I may understand them protecting their brand,

Only times we have any knowledge of the contents of a private message is when we are COPIED by a member to prove a point.
And as far as I can remember, it was because of a nasty character here who was threatening members with all sorts of physical violence.

Saeed,
Your memory and thoughtless name calling are lame and not accurate.
1. I am an engineer, not a lawyer. I deal in facts as best as I can.
2. I never mentioned FBI or threatened Ibi or his family.
3. Cory/CME did not commit any fraud or bank fraud. He had a bankruptcy unrelated to anything here or on his potential hunt.
4. He stole nothing. Ibi actually did. No on accused Baldry of theft.
5. Baldry acted as an agent and got caught in the middle.
So, I guess I am not quite the stupid one here. Look in the mirror and get your facts right.
It seems when you are confronted, then you resort to name calling and throwing as much poop in the air as possible to divert a thread.
We disagree on the role that Baldry played in that mess. We all agreed Ibi was the issue. You and others decided that CME had a bankruptcy in his past and that constituted guilt of wrong doing here or some sort of divine retribution here. That is not the case and the issues were unrelated.
One disagreement over who/what Baldry did and his level of responsiblity apparently brought your website to its knees and you acted as a petulant child and closed a thread where you did not get your way or have total control of others opinions. Well done. Clap clap clap....
You did a similar action against Buzz Charlton and others - and alienated the good guys out there. Keep it up. You support and advocate on behalf of some (Baldry) and others that less than stellar and chase off the good ones. Makes no sense..... clap clap clap.....
