lots of talk about DSC -
here are a few things from an outfitters perspective -

yesterday, sunday, we were taking down and as usual Ashleigh took a while to get her stuff packed up - a yellow cart arrives with two volunteers offereing free drinks and asking if there is anything else they can help with, now THAT is what makes DSC great- any other show they would have been trying to sell you drinks and looking for a way to charge you extra for something you were doing !!

for exhibitor setup there was a free barbeque in the main parking lot run by volunteers for those who had trucks in the line and parking -

DSC pays out of pocket for the carpet so all exibitors save on that -

richard cheatham the past president spent the entire 4 days walking around shaking hands with exhibitors thanking them, asking if they had any issues and what they would like to see changed and making sure everyone had everything that they needed -

i was doing some seminars and each and every day someone approached me and confirmed what projectors and sound i needed and was there to help me get set up -

These guys are amazing and truly appreciate us ! i will be very proud to wear their logo each and every hunting day this season and to shamelessly promote DSC and everything that they stand for !

THANK YOU DSC

these are exactly whats making this show go from strength to strength - not to mention the fact that most of the money generated from the show goes to the heart of conservation -

well done to the team, and cudos to the volunteers, especially to Karl and Rebecca Evans the show chairpeople for an incredible job well done .... Karl and Rebecca do this for free and dont even like recognition but they deserve it.

One might go so far as to say they are First for Hunters.

There is a reason I signed up to be a life member today.

I agree with Will.

Ivan all DSC member and Texans thank you for the post above! What you witnessed was simply Texas hospitality! The word that "Texas" was derived from is "TEJON" an Indian word that means "FRIEND"!

………………………………………….Thank you FRIEND!

Yes I agree - the complication-free event and Texan hospitality is a real bonus to this event. Several members (not just volunteers/organisers) even came to my booth and thanked me for attending... it is nice to be appreciated!!

I agree with Ivan. The support is outstanding. I have been an exhibitor for 15 years. I think the support is stronger every year.

Don't forget Teri in the office who sends out all the emails to the exhibitors, and answers questions through the year on various things.

Problem is, there are way to many people to mention. So, thanks to all of you who make it easier on us. tu2

I am happy to see the DSC convention grow, and I am please to see the "attitude" remain the same. Helpful and grateful.

I enjoyed it a lot, and as ussual it was good for business as well! Aarons GHR booth was bussy with people interested in everything from Elephant, Mule Deer to Steenbok!

Ivan, I must just add that I saw you taking that shot with Dave at the Wild Life gallery. Man, you were born to do what you do now! Looks as if you are an ok hunter to go along with it as well... Wink

In all seriousness, thanks everyone at DSC for yet another fantastic event!

My feet are tired, but I am already making plans for next year.
Had a great time, booked a trip to New Zealand for 2015, shopped for a double rifle( Cal Pappas told me these single barrel things were just a passing fad), paid for my plane fair to Zim in July, but mostly just spent time with some mighty fine folks & got to put some faces to some of my AR friends!
Ivan was kind enogh to autograph a DSC cap for my 12 yr. old neighbor. Thanks Ivan. I also got to hug his sweet wife.

I have to agree with everything from a exhibitors perspective you couldn't have asked for anything more. Every morning while going to the breakfast you walked a gauntlet of well wishers and they were most sincere. Hats off to all of DSC I have never enjoyed doing a show more and this was my first in Dallas but certainly not my last I will be back next year.
