Good Afternoon I would like to invite all AR posters to view our new web site - www.africanhunteronline.com. And would really appreciate feedback from those who have the time. The new web site is a link in a year long development to digitise our magazines to meet a growing world wide demand for such material. While we continue to print the African Hunter, the digital world opens up some incredible and exciting possibilities for enhancing the magazine with interactive media. Though the digital publications are identical to the printed magazine at present, in time we will add video, sound and some interactivity to the publication. An exciting aspect of this is that we have partnered with a couple of on-line News Stand sites and have started re-publishing back issues, many of which still have very interesting and relevant content. Over the coming months, we will make available ten years or so of these issues. Related to this, is the conversion of the various books we have published too, which are available through Amazon as downloads, all linked from the new site. You will also see one or two new products on this platform. With the new site, we have been able to bypass so many of the hassles we experience with accepting on-line payments etc, and properly servicing our readers. As I say, we would be very keen for your feedback and suggestions on how we can better serve our followers.

The Magazine is one of the best. To renew a AH Sub is a nightmare. fishunt@zol.co.zw rejected all my mails in the Past Nec Timor Nec Temeritas

I have the same experience as mboga. I like the AH magazine, but finally gave up taking it because of the nightmare trying to renew my subscription. I used to do it at the SCI show, but y'all stopped coming. I'd prefer getting a printed copy, but would settle for a digiburger if I have to.

I subscribe to the print magazine, and will continue to do so. Is there a provision for print subscribers to access the online material? It would seem reasonable, since I am already paying for the content.

Ant: In three weeks or less I will be in your office and we'll have a good catch up discussion on the AH. I sent you a PDF article yesterday on the biggest bore rifles. Did you get it? It was a large file with many photos. Cheers, mate. Cal PS. Proud to say I have every issue of the AH. _______________________________ Cal Pappas, Willow, Alaska www.CalPappas.com www.CalPappas.blogspot.com 1994 Zimbabwe 1997 Zimbabwe 1998 Zimbabwe 1999 Zimbabwe 1999 Namibia, Botswana, Zambia--vacation 2000 Australia 2002 South Africa 2003 South Africa 2003 Zimbabwe 2005 South Africa 2005 Zimbabwe 2006 Tanzania 2006 Zimbabwe--vacation 2007 Zimbabwe--vacation 2008 Zimbabwe 2012 Australia 2013 South Africa 2013 Zimbabwe 2013 Australia 2016 Zimbabwe 2017 Zimbabwe 2018 South Africa 2018 Zimbabwe--vacation 2019 South Africa 2019 Botswana 2019 Zimbabwe vacation 2021 South Africa 2021 South Africa (2nd hunt a month later) ______________________________

Thanks all for the feedback, which echoes much of what we know and hopefully now have the correct tools in place to overcome. Smooth efficient payment for subscriptions has been the bane of our lives for some years, as till now, being in Africa has prevented us from partnering with a reliable and secure financial institution. It is also the first time we have built our own web site in-house and had full control of what it is we want. As with many of these things, we do consider it a work in progress and as we get feedback and guidance from viewers and readers, we will evolve it to offer a smooth, efficient service while providing interesting and entertaining content. While e-mail is the most efficient way for us to communicate, our ZOL address is blocked by a few USA servers as it resembles some Zionist fanatical group somewhere on the globe. Sorry for that. We do have an alternative set up in South Africa to overcome this - adhunt@mweb.co.za. We would really love to have you guys back, and if you have the time, please visit the site to renew your subscription. I promise it will be hassle free. Marty, YES indeed. If you subscribe to the hard copy and would also like the digital copy sent to you, we will gladly do that. Our subscription management systems are undergoing a revamp too, as the older system we have did not capture e-mail addresses efficiently. Basically, if you can e-mail Jacqui at fishunt@zol.co.zw or through the RSA e-mail, stating your name and/or subscriber number, we will get you on the list for the digital magazine. This service will only start with the next issue of the magazine. But basically, as long as you receive the hard copy, you are entitled to the digital at no charge. Cal... looking forward to seeing you old friend, and catching up. We got your mail and are working with it, so thanks. Thanks again.
