I'll probably never get to Africa, but I see a way that it might be possible. If I go again the only trophy that I want is a leopard. It doesn't have to be 'book', any mature male or female will do. I don't want to be cheap, but frugal. Where and how much would a leopard hunt cost? I have a friend who would go with me for plains game(no leopard). I assume we could go 2/1 and hunt plains game except late evening. thanks capt david

Who knows, but I doubt you could do a 2X1 Leopard hunt. The days (for the Leopard hunter) are spent checking baits and replacing baits when necessary. The two hunts do not go togeather. I am not saying it couldn't be done but you would each be short changing each other and for what, maybe $600 - $700.

Good advice from Die Ou Jagter. The least expensive Leopard hunt I can offer you is in Botswana (Tuli Block)for US$600 per day for a 14 day hunt and a trophy fee of US$3000. Bait animals are US$50 each. Prices go up from there depending on country and area hunted. Plains game hunting in the same area is US$450 per hunter per day for a 1x1 hunt. You would be well advised to avoid RSA like the plague for Leopard hunts and you also need to make sure that the outfitter has the quota and licence available before you hunt.
