My son and I just returned yesterday from Zim. We hunted tuskless cow and buff with Buzz Charlton and Rex Hoets in the Makuti area part of the Zambezi escarpment. We had no problems at the airport, police road checks, etc., etc. If you are planning to hunt Zim have a great time and expect no problems. Before you go, post a travel itinerary with US customs and let the embassy in Harare know who your going to be with and where you are going to be with contact numbers and have a great time in one of the best, if not the best, hunting destinations in Africa. I'll post a hunting report later this week with pics, etc.

DIrk,

Glad everything worked out with no issues. I have to say I was more than a bit envious when we met you headed to camp on Friday -- wished I was headed out instead of back to the real world. Look forward to your report -- particularly how the .500 performed.

Glad to here that the trip was a success and that you had a safe hunt in a fantastic destination. Can't wait to see the hunt report and it is good to here some feedback from the ground as the news coverage of Harare last night was not as bright.

BTT.

I've just asked in another post what I can do to help: This post was about to shift to page 2, and I think this BTT is a small measure to help spread the good news that despite everything you can still now hunt safely and enjoyably in Zimbabwe.

In good hunting.
