Check with Gordon Duncan with Doma Safaris. We have seen sable the last two years and while we were concentrating on elephant we found tracks at several tanks, they call them dams

Doma Safari Area has a good name for its self for Sable and Buff.
Being on the Zambezi escarpment, it is rugged and will involve a bit of hill walking.
www.hutersvideo.com has a good DVD on Doma called "CLASSIC SAFARI".

Have only hunted Elephant there but saw nice Sable and much Buff sign, I gained a new respect for Elephant there. I didn't know they climbed mountains but saw their sign on trails only one man wide and still can't figure how they could walk on it.

The terrain there is quite rough in places. That is what I believe has kept from being totally poached out like other areas. When I was up taht way a couple years ago there was still a fair number of large game left but it was hardly half of what it had been. Picked up lots of snares daily, yet saw good numbers of animals. It was mostly the small stuff that was noticably absent. Saw some good sable and more han a few eles playing in the hills. I wish I could have seen the place at its glory. Talk to Gordon Duncan or Ganyana about Doma.

Drop Russ Gould a message if interested. He posts here and books hunts in Doma. I successfully hunted Buff in that area and saw Sable during the hunt.

I'm not sure if Lowveld hunters hunt the Government Safari Area though.
The areas outside the park can vari in quality.
