During my last safari with Steve416 we came across this old warrior Reedbuck with broken horn. The remaining horn is extremely long and we would have put this fine specimen in the salt had we not already taken one.

It would make a real " SUPER GRAND" trophy. I love it.

If more hunters would view the animals as the trophy they are and their individual character, instead of worrying about measurements and medals hunting I feel would be much more enjoyable to most people.

Excellent looking animal with lots of character. Thanks for sharing.

If SCI decided to include great trophies like this one in their record book, I bet some crooked South African PHs would start breaking animals horns to satisfy that demand rotflmo

Welcome to AR Hentie.

It would be very funny if it wasn't true.

What with some supplying Top 10 SCI trophies on demand.

Actually, I don't blame the South African for supplying what is being in demand.

The real crooks are the ones who buy these captured animals and shoot them to glorify themselves by belonging to some silly Inner Circle of like minded nitwits rotflmo

Not as impressive as the new world record Red Lechwe you have.

Yes, we looked at this fine old boy for a long time. He obviously broke off when he was young as you can see the mass from years of growth on the broken horn.
We had a great safari and although I did ask very nicely if I could shoot this Reedbuck.....I had already taken a beauty.
