It's good to see so many folks coming on down to Dallas for this year's show. As Dulcinea said, it's going to be really good to see old friends and make new ones.

As chairman of the Silent Auction Committee, let me personally invite all of you to come by our area. It's located in the back of the hall, underneath the seminar rooms. If you go down aisle 300, you'll run right into us.

We have a bunch of items in the SA this year, even more than last year. Many, many hunts and a lot of them are African. Five to 10-day hunts for one or two hunters, most of them including some trophy fees and some including observer fees as well. Countries include RSA, Namibia, and Zim in Africa, plus New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Spain, Mexico and Canada...and I might have forgotten a few.

Many nice sporting items as well...art, hunting items, etc. We even have a set of three of Peter Capstick's personal hunting knives presented to him by various bigwigs.

If you're coming to the show, most of the Silent Action items are listed in the program. Some 15-20something items came in too late to be listed in the program, but they're included, too.

The silent auctions on some items will close on Friday at 4:30; the bulk will close on Saturday at 4:00.

Please come by and at least say 'Hi!' whether you bid on anything or not. By the way, both Friday and Saturday we'll have FREE BEER beginning at 2pm Smiler . Ask for Dennis; if I'm there I'll be glad too see you!

The free beer was a stroke of genius. I'll see you there - and thanks for your efforts.
