Check out the huge leopard taken in Tanzania's Masailand. It was 190 lbs./9ft. long and was taken by a very attractive lady hunter. It can be seen on the Hunting Report website at www.huntingreport.com under the E-mail Extra Bulletins section.
And just below that there's an account of another mauling. This time in Zimbabwe. Yet another PH got chewed on by a wounded leopard. Those PH's sure earn their keep.
Shoot straight. It's called dangerous game hunting for a reason.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Thanks Charles_Helm for the photos. God, I love Africa. The sunsets are the best, except it means another precious safari day is over.

Good looking cat and a mighty handsome woman as well!

The Ph from Zimbabwe will have some great stories to tell his grandkids ,eh?

The hunter looks quite pleased with himself also.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

Seems like I hear/read about mountain lions here in N. America reaching this size with more regularity and some right at 200. Does anyone know how a 190lb mountain lion compares to this leopard, bigger, smaller head??
