Kilimanjaro and hunting?

I've always had a desire to climb Kilimanjaro. The idea I've in mind is climb the mountain and then stop for a week of hunt in a camp in the area. The best would be on the slopes. Any hunting concessions there? Any outfitters?

Mario,

My husband leaves Sept. 2 for the climb and I head over on Sept. 11 for the photo safari portion. We had a friend use the attached company and he spoke very highly of the operation, we also booked with them.

Good luck on the climb and hunt.

The Volcano foot hunts are all within view of Kilimanjaro. Buffalo and Bush Buck on Mt Geli or Kitumbeni would be great, and the climb will get you fit for the hunt or the other way around.

Good luck on the Climb. It will be one of the most memorable things you have ever done. Just remember to drink lots of fluids. Take lots of battries for the camera.

Did both in 2006. The climb first and then to the Selous for lion, leopard, croc, hippo.
Loved it.

Northern Hunting, operated by Game Frontiers of Tanzania, operate within sight of the mountain. A truly great hunting block, not far out from Areusha, also borders Amboseli in Kenya.
