Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Stephan Jacobs, SMJ Safaris. He just got a new tender for 5 years, he has all of the quota. The last two years he has averaged 77# and 78# on his bull elephant. I'm headed there the last of June for a non-trophy bull.

True, Stefan Jacob of SMJ safaris and I believe he shared the area with Felix Mernewecke of Camelthorn Safaris but I don't know if that is current

Best elephant hunting area in all the continent

Stephan told me he had all of the quota for this new lease. When I was hunting with him last year he said the only way he would want to have the new lease would be to have it all himself.

With an average of 77 - 78lbs and still exportable to the USA I'm going to have a guess and say they aren't cheap. Rightly so too.

No they aren't, that's why I do the non-trophy, but there is no other place on earth you can hunt these size bulls, and it's classic elephant hunting, following these huge tracks, we followed one track that was 27" measured with a tape. The area is enormous, no driving park boundaries, just get on the track and go. You are seeing a lot of bulls as the day goes by ,it keeps you pumped up.

Price list to the concession that borders Nya-Nyae, and you are correct, they are not cheap.
