If you have been holding off booking a buffalo hunt hoping that the pricing would get straightened out in Tanzania here is what we are offering for '08.

LU 5 in the Selous 10 day buffalo safari

We are opening an additional camp in LU5 in the Selous specifically for buffalo hunters and at this point we have a completely open schedule for '08 and '09.

My understanding is that there will be no more 7 day hunts allowed in Tanzania so the above may be some of the most economical hunts in Tanzania.

The 10 day hunt now will allow more aniamls than before.

The above prices include everything with the exception of trophy fees, charter, tips and hotels as necessary in Dar Es Salaam.

Price includes everything except trophy fees, tips and accommodation in Arusha as necessary.

As most of the AR members know our concessions Lokisale and Lobo produce the biggest buffalo in Africa. '07 will be no differnt with an average between 42"-43".

I will have solid trophy fees in a few days but can tell you that the buff are comparable to Zim and the plains game not way out of line.

Mark, has the minimum 10 day rule been confirmed yet? If so, does that mean that all existing 7 day hunts booked for 08 will need to be extended or canceled? Do you know how outfitters would handle that?

It would seem to me that if you have booked a 7 day buff hunt you had better get with your safari operator or agent right now. The outfits making a big part of their revenue from these 7 day hunts may have a tough time sorting this out.

I mistakenly placed the croc on the trophy list for LU5. The others on the list are correct.

Nobody get up in arms about the 7-day/10-day issue.

There can still be 7 -day hunts. They are just no longer issuing 7-day licenses. You can still hunt for 7 days, but you will have a 10-day license. Which will cost a bit more.

I am sure each operator will deal with this in a reasonable manner.
