I think most GPS units will get you back to a marked point, but if you are using a 1:50 000 map or are looking at better accuracy as in a few feet then you also need to put in the right datum. Most GPS units or people in Zim anyway use the WGS84 datum (better for pilots), however the maps were done in ARC1950. WGS84 will put you about 300m off a point if using a map.
