Hey fellas, I'm wanting to order the next book for my little collection from Safari Press but my dilemma is... Which one? I've been reading John Taylor's "Big Game and Big Game Rifles" and am thoroughly enjoying this book. Therefore my next book will be another of his but which one of the two would you who'd read them suggest first? I'm looking to learn as much as I can from his experiences in the field and on rifles cartridges. My choices are... "Maneaters and Marauders" or "Pondoro" Thanks to all!

There is no choice....both. There was another publisher in Ohio printing Maneaters and Marauders, where I bought mine. Don't know if they still are. Safari Press's claim to fame is publishing old hunting books whose copyright has expired!

What do you have against Ludo Wurfbain? His books are beautifully produced and nearly always worth reading, if a little pricey. And some of them are even the subject of valid copyrights! Keep it up and you'll get your SCI (Sworn Curmudgeons International) membership card back.

Get them all. John Taylor and J.A. Hunter can really tell a tale. George
