GREAT Pict's! I saw a NatlGeo show that was talking about the habitat around Vic Falls, and how lush and green it is due to the mist. As you said in a previous post, it looks like you had it all to yourselves. You did a great job capturing the essence of Africa, thanks for taking the time to post.

From the quality of photos on this forum, I'm beginning to think that HUNTERS and excellent photographers are one in the same.

These are great photos!!!

Nice job on the photos! The sunset is impressive. -TONY

P.S - That isn't a gun pointed back at you in one of them, is it???

Outstanding!!

Your landscapes here and Outdoor Writer's "hero with trophy" work give me something to aspire to. If I could produce such artful images I wouldn't have room on my walls for mounts!

Outdoor Writer,

No, there is no gun, but there are land mines.

Nice job on the photographs. I think sometimes people forget how much more of Africa there is to see and remember in pictures than just the trophies.

1115: Those pictures are inspiring! May I ask what camera you were using. I'm interested in getting one soon (first digital). I could only hope to get photos like that!
Thanks for sharing those with us. Scott-

I think the third Vic Falls photo and the sunset are especially good.

Jetblueman,

I took the pictures using a Fuji S7000 digital. I shot them at 6 megapixels. I also use ArcSoft software to enhance the images as needed. I am pleased with the results I got on this trip. It was nice to take pictures of something beautiful for a change. In my job as a detective, most of what I photograph ain't so pretty.

1115: Thanks for the info. I thought they had to be shot at at least 4 or 5 megs. Great detail. Do you find that software easy to use for editing? Thanks, Scott

Scott,

Since the images are very good to start with, it doesn't take but a little "tweaking" to get them just right. Most don't need any at all. But the ArcSoft products are very easy to use in my opinion. Also the software that comes with the camera is great too.
