Regarding relative body size of Cape buffalo. Is there a significant difference between animals in Tanzania and for example southern Zimbabwe? I realize that there is a significant difference in Elephant in Botswana as compared to Kenya.
There is a big difference in White tailed deer here in the states just 1000 miles apart. Just curious about the Cape Buffalo genetics in different regions of Africa.

ez,

I've not shot the amount of buffalo that others posting here have but I have shot them in 4 different countries and body size does vary. The buffalo I encountered on Mt. Galai in Masailand where the largest by far. A mature buffalo I shot on the Luangwa river in Zambia was probably 2/3 the size of the Galai buffalo.
