MLindsayNow flying KLM
Once again Barb at International Journeys has saved the day. I was flying out of Dulles Tuesday morning on SAA but now going through Amsterdam on KLM Monday evening. She has worked very hard to set this up for me.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! AnotherAZWriterWell, good luck if using NWA...
A client that I am working with got hosed by them yesterday and got here a day late. Their mechanics are not happy and seem to be delaying everything for some reason or another.
Keep your fingers crossed they don't strike...

NWA Reveals Strike Maintenance Plans
(AP) Minneapolis With a possible mechanics strike looming, Northwest Airlines Corp. said it has nearly finished training replacement workers and that it has already begun shifting more maintenance work to outside contractors.
Northwest, the nation's fourth-largest airline, has vowed to keep flying if mechanics strike at 12:01 a.m. EDT on Aug. 20, when a 30-day cooling-off period ends. A strike would hit it during the busy summer travel months.

Oooh Lordy.
Maybe we hunters as a group need to buy a luxury liner and just sail to Africa each year. Everyone could get slowed down from the office grind and in the mood for hunting in the bush.
One the cruise over you could do a little "practice" drinking and dining...a bit of shooting off the fantail to keep the eye to hand co-ordination sharp.
You could bring back your own trophies and not wait for high dollar air shipments.
Maybe a ship board romance or ???
To hell with narrow seats in airplanes and strikes!

You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. Go hunting with your family.

Wendell ReichHarry, I believe your post was supposed to go under the topic "If money were no object."
But yes, Wouldn't it be nice ... a three week party before getting to Africa for your 3 month safari.

MLindsayWell I am stuck in Amsterdam. I was given a bording pass at Dulles told to get on the plane and I would get a boarding pass in Amsterdam to Cape Town. I arrived in Amsterdam and they wait a minute you don't have a ticket to Cape Town and we are not flying you. A man from Delta got them to issue a ticket but because o f the SAA strike I am on waiting list. I think I will be coming back to the States.\
What a mess.
