Hartley Conbrink, John Knowles, Attie Krouse, Yusef Patel or Rory Gelatney. Time is of the essence. Many thanks to all.

I searched the The Hunting Report and there is not a single report on anyone of them? Are they new outfitters? What country are they hunting?

The majority of excellent PH have had no press at all. John Knowles and Rory Galatley(SP)are some of the best in Zambia. They both worked for SAFEX when I hunted with that company in '98 and 2000.

Did you give up on Safaris and Quilts after that long and involved discussion on Grant Taylor?

Yep, I gave up on Safaris and Quilts too much stuff to try and sort out. But I must have set some sort of record for the number of replies and views.

Looking more and more each day like Zambjia is in my future for 07.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Like Mark said the best Ph's are guys you never hear of here as they are direct contact guys and there reputations are such that they don't need to advertise or go to Conventions to sell there hunts.

I've known John for over 25 years. He came to Zambia in the late 40's with his family from England. Raised there and for years was the PH in Mulabezi. Great friends with Granville Potgieter, another legend no one knows.

I've hunted with him and for him many times and have sent a few friends that I liked over. He is very good and a great companion. Honest as the day is long but not one to suffer fools lightly. He has the desire to be the oldest PH in Africa. Smiler

You could do a lot worse with better known PH's.
