28 days and I'm on a plane for Frankurt/Windhoek, on the ground in Namibia on the 30th. It's the HS Precision .270WSM and a Ruger #1 in 9.3 X 74R for firepower on this trip. Received pics from my PH and the Erongos are a green paradise compared to last year's dry, dusty and brown surroundings.

PS Just sent deposits today for me and three buddies for a Safari in Mozambique in 09 for Buff, Hippo, Croc, Sable and Leopard. Haven't counted the days for this one yet, just know it's tooo far away.

I have a hard time feeling sorry for any of you since I won't be back until '09 but it's Caprivi Strip for ele, which makes up for the wait...about 475 days if anyone cares.

I would be interested to hear more from anyone booking the Frankfurt to Windhoek travel. I'm seriously considering that myself from DFW in July '09.

Namibia with Mike Kibble from 1st August this year for 21 days.

My 338 RUM shoots so well, just have decide on a light rifle. Smiler

Primary animals are Giraffe, Livingstone Eland and Waterbuck. As well a huge Oryx bull in the Kalahari.

Will be doing some bullet testing on cull oryx and red hartebeest with this rifle with various 225 projectiles as well as trophy hunting.

59 for me as well! Just paid my final 50% deposit and am raring to go.

Phoenixdawg - we are going to be there at the same time - perhaps we might cross paths or could plan a lunch/dinner at Joe's in Windhoek? IM me if you want.

Eric

108 days till I head to the Caprivi to sort out an elephant with Vaughn Fultan Safaris. Then about a month of bowhunting a bit farther south at Makalaan.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory

I just flew SAA Jo'burg to Dulles a week ago. Food and service are fine - it's the long flight that is an ordeal. If I could have slept throughout the flight it would have been better.
