Jorge: Trader Keith carries Tony's favorite belts. I have four of them and I talked to Tony over the telephone about them last year. A very nice Italian leather product. The inside of the belts are lined and they are well stitched. The belts are a soft flexible dark leather and are very comfortable to wear. Made to carry flanged rifle cartridges.

A lot of what Tony wears comes from J.L. Powell. Nice stuff, but pricey.

True, but the ammo cartridge belts that jorge is asking about are from Trader Keith's. And, Tony's hats come from Rands Custom Hats in Montana. Big Grin

I got my ammo belt at Cabelas & my hat at Gruene Outfitters in Gruene Texas. Just in case anyone was wondering.
Now, if I could only get a TV show!

Yes, he made my 500 Jeffery shell holder as well as both of my boys 375 H&H shell holders.

Jorge, I had Dick Murray make me one of his
1 3/4" belts with a roller buckle. On it I carried a knife and belt pouch for my camera and one of his 10 round slides for my 450NE as pictured below, when I switched to my 400 H&H all I did was switch slides. I brought 4 slides with me one for solids one for softs for each rifle it was very easy to switch them out.

I had Dick Murray make me up a culling belt for my .470 and a cartridge holder for my daughter's .375 and they are very well made. However, I do have my eye on Heym's new culling belts. If only Chris would text, email or call me back.

Thanks for the replies men! I have some nice stuff from Murray's as well. Vaughn, Trader Keith's? I bought the canvas culling belt from them but the 450s just stick out too far for me and I can't get a knife on the wide canvas. I'll check out the website again. Thanks again gents!

Jorge,
I have two of Trader Keith's culling belts for the belted cartridges. One for cartridge only, and the other has a binocular pouch addition. I use mine often over the last 15 years or so and have not been able to wear them out. They are actually made in a small village in Spain and are of very high quality leather and workmanship.

Not sure if Trader Keith has them made for the larger Nitro Express cartridges, but you can inquire. You would not be able to hang a knife on the culling belt due to it's width. You may be able to hang the knife on the buckle straps as the buckle will be on your back side with the cartridge dividers in the front. The culling belt is usually worn higher on the waist above the regular pants belt that could be used to hang your knife.

The culling belt leather is soft, lined, and comfortable.

jorge: Yes, Trader Keith's. It's the leather backup belt advertised for $145. In fact, if you read the black and white website intro by Bill Keith, he talks specifically about Tony and the ammo belt. Call Bill Keith and say that you want the Makris ammo belt. That's the one that Tony uses and swears by. Big Grin

I think these are the same but without the build in belt. I do find that because the loops are not individually they tend to loosen if some loops are empty. However, this is not a problem if you use large flanged rounds.

I posted earlier regarding my Dick Murray culling belt, etc. Well, I spoke with Chris (Heym) and we closed the deal on a new elephant hide culling belt in 450/400 for me and another in .375 for my daughter. Also ordered an elephant gun slip for my Heym 450/400.
