Tanzania Concession Fees To Remain
THISDAY, a newspaper based out of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania has reported that the appeal of the hunting industry to lower recently raised concession and trophy fees in Tanzania has officially ended. In an article dated September 2, THISDAY stated, “The government has flatly rejected pressure from the country’s powerful hunting lobby for a reversal of its recent decision to significantly hike various hunting block and trophy fees.†If this report is accurate, then it appears that the trophy fee and concession increases that were implemented in July will stand as they are. I think that this article is a re-tread of last weeks article.

Yeah! I think it is old news that actually is very old news. Seems like SCI is a litte behind the 8 ball.

I got it too. How SCI could announce that article from that rag as breaking news today is beyond me.

I'm an SCI member, but some of the stuff they put out as news makes me wonder . . .

Of course, I've been spoiled by AR, which, thanks to the vigilant membership, is the best source for breaking news on African hunting that I have found anywhere.

And the AR membership fees are much less than SCI's, too.
