I have 20 game scouts in my project area and looking for some funding to help with some equipment.

For example they have three boats and one outboard engine which I paid for but all I can afford. They patrol over 50km of prime riverfront including the Park.

I understand DSC issues grants for APU and is anyone familiar with this process or other organisations that can help out.

I set up the Kaindu Natural Resources Trust which is basically the communal bank which receives hunting revenues and this legal body can receive funds and have their own tax free accounts.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Andrew, send me an email to dan_sozzi@yahoo.com with details of what you’re doing and your request for support. Please be as specific as possible. I’ll present it to the Sacramento Safari Club, who’ve historically funded some projects like this.

After my and Richard’s encounter with a couple of those bastard poachers, which is how I became injured and just got rotator cuff surgery, I’d love to help you raise some funds to enhance your APU efforts.

One client we had many, many years ago, just after the hunting re-opened in TZ after the short-lived ban, donated something in the region of 100 AK47s to the Game Dept. as part of the anti-poaching drive. It took a while to have them released due to the type of weapon and they eventually went to the para-military anti-poaching unit.

I'm sure you could do with something along those lines; might be less of a hassle if it involved simple but functional light/medium rifles (Blasers excluded Big Grin) using a common caliber.

Currently they have pump action shotguns and a specialised slug. As they are DNP registered they have access to AK's and my main man has a .458WM that I gave him.

A new outboard engine would be nice and a couple of motorbikes.
