Ladies and Gentlemen,

I made a few more bullets to add to our inventory, as I never really know when I would get te chance to make more as the summer comes.

Walter is not allowed to touch our CNC lathe - the only time he did in the past - by accident - he smased the took head!?

I know, it is very hard to believe, but, Walter has an uncanny ability to do the impossible!

He insisted on "helping". So I told him he can molly coat the bullets.

I normally stand them upside down as you see in the photo in those holes, and spray them.

He could not get them to stand straight, so after I complained to him about his lack of attention to his job, he got hold of a micrometer and started measuring!

What he was measuring only he knows.

Eventually I took the bullets from him, and spray coated them myself!

He is obviously using the micrometer to see what time lunch will be served.

He's applying his "how to get out of work" technique.
An older gentleman at work uses a similar tactic.
He'll keep at it until finally someone says, "Get out of here before you destroy it!"

You don't know how close to the truth you are!

Here is a photo I took of him a few minutes earlier.

Sorry about the poor quality of the photo.

He was playing with my camera, and set the ISO to 2000!

He said it was for fun!

Walter insists we have plenty of food and drinks in the workshop.

Saeed,

What kind of control unit does your lathe have??

IE: Fanuc? etc? Do you program it from a work station or at the Lathe??

Nice looking bullets and I like the way you keep your staff fed!!

Saeed,

From the looks of the layout of the food, there's obviously a wonderful (and patient) woman that puts up with all of these shenanigans. You are a very lucky man.

Saeed,

If you were to accidentally mail me about 1,000 of those Walterhog bullets it wouldn't hurt my feeling at all.

I have a couple of .375H&H's that would be very appreciative. Wink

Saeed,

The "Walter Molyed Walterhogs" are for the exclusive use of the custom rig he is working on. As I recall, the stock that will grace the work of art is already finished:

Just one question: Where does Walter keep the Beaver that assists him on stock work?

Our CNC lathe developed a fault. The main spindle drive sometimes would not run.

I got the handbook out, and opened the back of the machine to do a check. I did that and could not see anything that might have caused the problem. I left a volt meter lying on the floor by the back of the machine next to the handbook.

I went out to lunch with a friend.

After lunch, I went back to the workshop to see if I can find what was wrong with the machine.

I found the manual as I left it, but there was no volt meter!? I looked all over the place, and still could not find it. I called one of our helpers, and asked him to come give me a hand look for the volt meter.

We looked and looked, and then he mentioned the magic word "Walter"!

I asked him when was the last time he had seen Walter, and he said "lunch time"!

I called Walter "Where is my volt meter?"
Walter "I will buy you one and bring it later"

Me " I don't need another one, I want to know where you put the one I have here!?"

Walter "That one doesn't work. So I will bring you another one"

Me "Walter, that was working just fine before I went out to lunch. Where did you put it?"

Walter "It is there in the workshop, but it does not work. I tried it myself"

Me "How many times I have told you to stay away from that machine?"

Walter, laughing, which made me mad, as I KNEW he has broken something; "I did not TOUCH your machine. I just thought I will do what you were trying to do. Measure some volts"

Me "What happened?"
Walter "The volt meter broke! That is what happened!"

Me "How?"
Walter "It is in the rubbish bin. Have a look yourself. And before you start showting at me, I will bring one later"

He put the phone down.

What his lordship did was trying to measure high AC volts while the meter was set on low DC volts. So he burnt the meter!

Add another chapter to the glorious string of disasters he had acheived so far!

I think I am going straight to heaven when I die.

I have suffered enough by putting up with this guy!

Saeed, I have told you before that you need to write a book about your Walter experiences. When are we going to see it? By the way, I think that he was using the micrometer to make comparisons. . . dancing dancing dancing

No one gives poor Walter any respect, but I think he's a genius whose talent won't be recognized until he's gone.

Cheers,

KG

P.S. Saeed, just curious: after eating the bullets, how did Walter's moly-coated berries shoot, anyway?

Well, I found out what the problem is. There is a control unit that sends signals to the chuck motor has broken down.

I called the services department of EMCO, and they have one coming early next week.

If the bullet production line is halted then it must be time for some reloading/shooting!!

Perhaps some T-Rex blanks with large quantity of very fast powder for your guests!! animal

Or better yet some very slow powder... clap

Keep the fire extinguisher handy! Big Grin

That is actually a photograph kindly posted by Saeed of Walter's work on a stock duplicating machine. I know you are green with envy.
