Well I finally completed the airport gauntlet and am sitting here in the Seattle airport waiting for the flight boarding call. Its of to 7 days plains game hunting in South Africa with Infinito safaris for nyala, bushbuck, mt. reedbuck and warthog and opportunistic stuff and then up to Namibia for 5 days of non-trophy gemsbok, kudu and red hartebeest hunting with African Plains Safaris.
The airport checkin was okay, not to much bs from ticket agents, tho why they (BA) wants US customs involved on departure is beyond me, but it all got done and so just have to wait to get on board and leave. Also had to do the seperate ammo bag/case thing, another mystery when going to SA, but I was ready so it went okay too.

As the top line shows, this will be my third trip over and I'm glad its here finally!

Will update as internet access permits.

Short update, killing time (is that pc these days?) here in the BA business lounge in London. First flight leg went pretty smooth. Next flight leaves at 7:05 pm local time.

Will go wherever they take me, hunting or otherwise.

stevie, yes Schalk is the PH for my 2nd half, so should be good to go.

All,

Well back home from the hunt. Return trip NOT fun with plane issues and turnaround back to Joberg. Will write better hunt reports over the next weeks and hope the pictures can be added, cause I know WITHOUT picture no one is happy, LOL! Short version is good hunts in both countries with 3 animals in South Africa taken with Infinito Safaris, Chary and Frederick good guys. Namibia non trophy hunt went well also with numerous animals taken including my first ever warthogs and got a monster kudu as well with Schalk P at African Plains Safaris. Look for reports to follow.
