I was very fortunate to be able to spend several hours with our gracious host at his home in Dubai last week. For those who haven't had the oppurtunity to witness Arab hospitality, I can only state it is second to none.
I don't know what impressed me more, the Dubai cityscape, or Saeed's basement! For those that are wondering, I passed on the offer to shoot the .577!
I would advise future visitors to call before visiting Saeed's residence, there is an elaborate security system consisting of some very hungry Crocodiles!

You are very welcome. I just wish you had a bit more time to spend in our city.

I told Walter about your visit, and he was very sorry to have missed you.

He also said HE would have been able to persuade you to shoot the 577 T.Rex. When I asked him how, he said: "I would have given him a choice. Swim with the crocs, or shoot"

I recommend next time you visit and see Walter, tell him you would gladly shoot this rifle, as long as he fires one shot ahead of you.

That normally stops all his arguments.

I tried to persuade him that I would give him a reduced load, all he said was "I don'ty trust you!"

The next time I visit I hope I will have had a few hours to recover from the terminal jet lag I was suffering!
Please tell Walter I will make a special trip to Dubai to watch him shoot the .577 revolver!
By the way, I am going to start milling my first batch of .40 S&W bullets Monday. They are going to be manually spec'd, however!
