I just booked the flights for a 6 day hunt in Southern Namibia with Kalahari Hunting Safaris. We'll be flying out Apr. 20th, 2019 (Easter Weekend) on Ethiopian airways out of LAX using my airmiles.

I'll be taking a childhood friend on his first trip to Africa and we'll be hunting on low fence concessions in the Klein Karas Mountain region for Kudu, Gemsbok, Zebra, Springbok, Warthog, etc.

You're a good man Frank, introducing a friend to his first Africa hunt experience. Namibia is a great choice for great hunting country and plentiful hunting species. I bet you'll both love it but perhaps it will be most memorable for your friend.

Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

Good on 'ya Frank! tu2

I too am taking a first timer to Africa (Zambia) this year. However, it's his first hunt for mammels. I've taken him bird hunting over my Springer Spaniels before, but that's the limit of his hunting experiences. I am anxious to watch his face as he discovers both Africa and big game hunting.

Good luck to both of you!!

This is my fifth trip to Africa since 2008 and I still enjoy planning a trip. Especially since I get to take a friend with me!

Using my airmiles I got us seats 2D and 2H for the first five flights on Ethiopian Airways 787-800, This way no matter how much we drink, we only need to remember one seat number.

We're booked to fly:

LAX to Addis Ababa,
Addis Ababa to Windhoek

Windhoek back to Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa to Vienna

The only leg left to book is Austria Airlines Vienna to Los Angeles. I'm having trouble getting them to let me book my seats 10 months in advance. Big Grin
