Cap for Africa needed

Strange: I'm living in South Africa but I still couldn't trace that special cap. It looks like an ordinary baseballcap but it has a neck protector which you can let down. Hope you people know what I mean.

I'm not talking about the caps which you can buy at Cape Union Mart and similar places but the better stronger ones for the professionals. Who can assist me?

Ask some ex-Swapo guys when you get to namibia, they had some good capps like the one your after in the late eighties.... Big Grin

I got one from the sporting goods company here in the US called REI. Columbia also sells these. Here are a couple of links:

Do a search for fishing hats. These are common with fishermen.

those caps were supplied by the russians. Fapla, Frelimo etc all had them. The portugese also had them while still active in Moz and Angola.

Sunshine, when you are in namibia, go to Agra. They have some supplies!
