Google Iridium Rentals
I have a buddy in tampa that rented me mine and I have another buddy that loans me one....
My advice is find someone local that rents Iridium (unless I’m behind the times?)
You usually pay a small/reasonable fee plus minutes used.
If you have a problem PM me and I’ll shoot you my buddies name who rents them

I rented an Iridium 9555 from Global Com last fall. It worked well in Kygyzstan. I had it for 18 days and the total cost was about $400.

Try Explorer satellite out of south Florida.

I personally own two. An Iridium and an Inmarsat. The Inmarsat sucks above the Arctic Circle. However, it is far superior to the Iridium in Africa.

Make sure you rent the phone that is best for the area you are going.
