Anybody ever hunted with Phillip Steyn in Tanzania? What are your impressions of him?

Sorry, I don't know Phillip. The guy 404 is referring to is Abie Steyn from Steyn Safaris who owns concessions (amongst others) next to Kruger in Mpumalanga and also in Zim. 404 and I hunted buff on the Mpumalanga concession.

Funny you should ask. I leave tomorrow for a 14 day hunt and I believe he will be my ph.I will be hunting in the Selous with Rungwa Safaris.I usually know my ph, but this time, I am going in blind. Keep my fingers crossed!!!

Yes he's the fellow.

Let us know how it goes. I have a client who was thinking of hunting with him last minute this year, and asked me to check him out if possible. Turns out the client may not be able to hunt due to scheduling problems.

I hunted with Phillip during part of a safari in July of this year, and I am hunting with him again for a full 21 days in November of this year as well. He is a very knowledgeable, hard working and freindly PH with great people skills.
