Retreever, can you tell us if the bullet hole in your buff's forehead was made by the 450 No. 2? Which animals did you shoot with the 450 No. 2? Do you think you had an advantage or a disadvantage by using a double in Tanzania for those animals?

The 450#2 was used on the buf for three shoulder shots and the fourth to break his neck... Pierre gave him the dimple between the eye as a final make sure you are dead and not playing dead... As for the double and the 375 they went with us at all times...Grass was extremely high at times 8 feet..Everything was green and lots of cover...We hunted buf for 10 straight days and saw over 100 how many opportunities??? One the end of the second day swirling wind...and You saw the pics of him...An old war horse look torn ears, broomed horns...A dagga boy with many years... I believe if grass was burnt off stalking and identifing would be much easier and shooting them also easier....The scoped rifle was much better then the double while I was there... Elephant was taken with the 450 total of five shots.. As for which rifle was better many times buff were close but could not be identified...Back, hip horn tip...So I carried the 375 many times but switched back and forth...I thoroughly enjoyed shooting hitting and even missing some animals...A clean miss is as good as a clean kill... My puter is acting up and I am hesitant to write my hunt report yet...be half way thru and loose it...So please bear with me... Mike
