Nothing warms my heart like cigarettes, whiskey, outboard motors, .22 rifles and a big stack of war bonds!

I particularly loved the one about the Old Grandad Distillery being engaged in the production of alcohol for war purposes!

Rubbing alcohol, one would assume, which is pretty much what Old Grandad still produces!

A bygone era, indeed.

All the distilleries made the Alcohol that was used for fuel in tarpedos! Commonly called "TARPEDO JUICE"
