Very impressive, although I am not actually a fan of extreme drooping on buff horn.

Wow! look at the cheeks on that bull! Roll Eyes

Based on the bosses of that buff, I'm calling it a big big cow. I have seen cows like that, but not quite that big..The worlds record was very similar to that one, and it was a cow.

If thats a cow it must have been on steroids and likely had a pair of balls as well. coffee

That is not a cow by any means, the bosses are clearly visible and cows despite being long do not carry mass as that big boy in the picture does, very nice buffalo!

Seriously?
Definitely a bull. No cow buff, whether on steroids or not, has such mass on the horns.

Thanks for the reference to Carl Akeley's book. H wrote another, "In Brightest Africa".

Akeley was the father of modern taxidermy, the use of manikins. Yes, taxidermists spell it that way. He did the elephant diorama in the entrance to the Museum of Natural History in NYC, and many of the others there. He accompanied TR on his famous safari. The account of how his wife saved him when he was injured on safari is quite a read.

Andrew:

I've been looking for a deepdrop bull like that for a long time. No luck so far. Closest was in '12 when we saw one not quite so deep, after I'd shot out.

great looking bull.
