Well, sorry to say, but while you might not mean to be offensive, it still is to a point.

By that question, you question my integrity. If I was a owner or part owner, or owned stock or had some sort of financial part of CEB or another bullet company, does that make the bullet less effective? Does that mean I am a liar? Exactly what is the point of that?

Honestly, reminds me of democrats wanting to tax the wealthy. To demonize the successful, just because there is the possibility of "Financial Ties"----???????

However, with that being said, I do understand, and I see that objectivity could be compromised by financial ties. After all, A paid representative it is hard to be objective is it not?

I have always tried to be objective in my evaluations of bullet performance, But I can no longer claim that extreme objectivity. I now only support and endorse two bullet companies, North Fork and Cutting Edge Bullets. First and foremost--Performance Standards during Terminal Penetration. Second, because BOTH of these companies support hunters and shooters such as all of us! The big dogs of the business do not. Hornady gives a damn about terminal Performance, they care more about selling cheap bullets, when they fail and its brought to their attention their response is "These Things Happen Sometimes", thats it. Todays Barnes, they are more interested in selling round nose solids so they feed in cheap ass rifles. Even to the point that they came out with a huge effort to "Discount" any real terminal gains with FN solids, or any advantages, that they themselves touted heavily when they first came out with their own Banded Solids! ???????

I won't support that! Why would one? We have proven designs with both Cutting Edge and North Fork. I know the Owners, have worked with both companies extensively on designs of bullets to give extreme and consistent terminal performance. I know for a fact that both companies put performance at the top of their agenda. Performance is in OUR best interest! Neither Company will sacrifice Performance for the sake of "Sales"--This is in OUR best interest. Who should we as shooters/hunters support? Well, my objectivity is out the door on this, I will endorse or support nothing but the very best, the very best in terminal performance #1, the very best of companies and people involved #2. With these two Companies, Dangerous Game Hunters and shooters do not need anything or anyone or any other bullets.

I am not a paid representative either. Nope, I buy my bullets just like you do! I do get a dealer discount, but probably should, as I buy more than most dealers do in a year. I just shoot mine is all, and of course do the research on them. This includes bullets from North Fork as well I do get a dealer discount on them, but I buy them by the 1000s! In fact, I just received 3000 very expensive bullets last week. Another 2000 + on the way this week. And more ordered.

When the design first hit the market, most of it was special order, 250 at a time. Before they were popular enough to put on the shelves. Well, how many of you are going to pony up for 250 at a time so you could try them out??? Not many. I decided I believed in the design so much so, I would pony up for many 1000s of bullets, in calibers that I did not even own, and I would dole out a few boxes or so at a time for YOU GUYS to try. I would try to recoup my investment of course, but I promise you I gave away more than I recouped, and most of the time I would forget to add shipping and other things. I had 1000s of bullets made. At one time, it looked like I was in the bullet business for sure, on my website I had a page, Bullets Available, and with prices the works. Now that the bullets are well established, I don't do that any longer, and now I don't have any bullets for sale, I only list the bullets designed specifically for my B&M cartridges, and the velocity at which they run in the various cartridges, but they are not even for sale through me any longer.

I have very few of those runs of bullets left, a few .409s, .585s, .620s and so forth but not enough to worry over, and no, I don't own any rifles in those calibers.

I always purchased everything, up front, money in hand before I received anything, I would not have it any other way, and work that way today as well. I don't want anyone out anything on account of me. Even through all the test work, this cost money, I paid. I would not have it any other way.

Every single piece of research done here, and it has been extensive, long, and strenuous, has been paid for by myself. My equipment, my range, my bullets, my powder, primers, my time. No one has paid me, no one has supported that financially, and my buddy Sam has assisted on much of the work here in the last couple of years, especially that work related to double rifles, and he has spent a good bit of his own finances on the work too.

With all this in mind, the questions you ask cannot be anything but somewhat offensive to me, regardless of whether I understand that approach or not, or whether or not I concur that financial ties do effect objectivity.

I have been called a "Bullet Peddler" by that stupid ass Will, the book peddler, and called "Bullet Pimp" by others, and probably other names as well. At some point it gets to be a little "offensive"....... And I am not the type to just sit back and take it sitting down. Nor let it have a free pass.

Have any of you tried GS Custom FN Solids
They are now manufactured in the USA
I believe that Johan Caalitz measured 97 inches of penetration in Elephant out of a 458 loaded with 450gr FN solids

GS solids are excellent. I've used them on buffalo and elephant. The only problem I've had with 'em is that you can't recover pass-throughs.

They appear similar in profile to Northfork.
