Anyone know about TDK safaris headquartered out of Cody, WY? Seems they are a US based company that have several concessions in SA that they manage. PH's are mixed between African and one US. Asking for a friend as I think he is looking at an upcoming fundraiser somewhere and they are on the list. Asked me if I had ever heard of them and I had not but I thought with all of you guys on here, someone may know them.

Thanks for any feedback.

The name on their website TDK means Trust, Dedication, and Knowledge... sort of corny to me to make a name that way like you gotta prove it to yourself even. The owners are Lisa and Wes McArtor and they live in Cody, Wy. Here is a link to the website in case you think you may know them. I am not asking for an opinion on the website or how they MAY sound but just any experience anyone may have.

Thanks,

Uhh, Cody, Wyoming and the Waterberg Mountains are a little ways apart...

Like 11,000 miles or so. Why would anyone hire a Wyoming outfitter for an African hunt? For that matter, why would anyone hire an African outfitter for a Wyoming elk hunt?

There are a lot of outfitters in the US who book hunts in Africa.

Many of them are first class.

Have no idea about this one though.

When I was not sure who to hunt with, I contacted a number of agents in the US.

Ray Atkinson arranged a couple of hunts for us which were great.

He did everything he promised us, and we all had a great time.

I agree, there are plenty of US based outfitters, and agents, who book African hunts. However, from the original post, I took it to mean they guide over there. Sure, there are some US guides who do well in Africa; Aaron Nielsen and Jay Leyendecker come to mind as do the late Cotton Gordon and Ridge Taylor. However, I think most US based outfitters probably do a better job over here. I could be wrong, probably am, wouldn't be the first time (just ask my ex-wife). Wink

True, they are likely a booking agent.

Good that you didn’t mention Mark Sullivan! sofa

However, I would hunt with Mr. Sullivan if I had the money.

Here is deal for you.

You pay only half, and I will shoot all the buffalo you want clap

Obviously you are a foreigner like me, but you lack understanding of the English language more than me.

I said I would never hunt with him EVEN if someone offered me a million dollars! clap

Im gonna fix the original post to make it clearer who they are and what I was asking. It was long day for me and I was just whupped. Did have a good cardiologist appt yesterday and then my urology surgeon at Wake Forest gave me a good 2.5 year after surgery still clear report so it was a great day for that anyway. Sorry for a confusing opening post. please re-read.
