I just wondered where everyone will be staying at the SCI convention in Vegas?I've been to SCI in Reno a couple times but I've never been to Vegas so any recommendations would be appreciated.

The SCI website (safariclub.org) lists six hotels -- Mandalay Bay, The Hotel, Excalibur, Luxur, MGM Grand, and Tropicana -- with special SCI rates for each.

The Excalibur's rates appear to be the lowest, according to the website, which means it probably will fill up first.

All will be linked by shuttles (as was done in Reno) with the Mandalay Bay, where the convention's exhibits and events will be held.

My wife and I are staying at the Luxor. They were considerably less expensive than the Mandalay Bay. I am told that they are connected to Mandalay Bay by a covered overpass.

We are staying in the Luxor as well for the show.

Not as nice as Mandalay, but its right next door and its half the cost. The savings can be spent at the craps tables!!

Thanks gentlemen,
I had seen the six hotels advertised but wondered which were best and why.
