Genlemen,

We are all sitting here by the pool enjoying a BBQ.

I just wish all of you could be here to enjoy Walter telling all his hair raising stories of how he managed to escape being trampled by a wounded buffalo.

For those who are technically minded, I am writing this message on a Nokia 9210i Mobile phone.

hi Saeed,
i can imagine how much fun you guys there have.
A cool Beer and a Steak on the bbq, im a little bit jealous about thinking of this scenario
And I guess have lot of Stories to tell, and i guess its not so important if they are truth, but they are good for a laugh.

I really like to join u, but i guess all flights to Dubai are gone

Have a Drink for me too,
all the best

Saeed,

You've posted yourself into a trap because from now on there is no reason why you can't keep us posted on your hunts on an hourly basis or let's say animal basis : )

Damn technology I suppose, No they are nice phones I've seen a couple I just heard we had some software problems with them when they got to South Africa but it seems to be sorted out.

Saeed,
I agree with Safari-Hunt, We Expect an Animal by Animal detailed blow-by-blow description of your hunt.

Good Luck and I guess we will read about it when you post it

Saeed,

That is a way cool technology demonstration.

Here in San Diego, California, USA we have five providers of various wireless technologies (Verizon Wireless, Cingular, AT&T, Sprint and NexTel). You can get CDMA, TDMA, GSM and a proprietary cell/radio hybrid (NexTel). I have been using a PCS 1900 GSM phone (the European standard), but it is time to upgrade to either Verizon or Sprint because they are the leaders in the high speed data offering.

If I am going to patrol Accurate Reloading with my cell phone, I will need higher data rate.

Gentlemen,

Here is a running report of our BBQ.

We have people of so many nationalities, like, Chilean, Arab, Iranian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Australian, South African, Swedish, English, Philipino, Austrian and Sri Lankan!?

Everyone is having great fun - especially now they know I am on the net with a mobile phone.

They have gathered around me like flies around a pile of you know what

We had some beef, lamb, salmon and chicken.

I will post pictures in the morning.

We are planning on taking a laptop with us, and will try to log in from our hunting camp if possible.

We will give you a few details of our hunt if we manage to connect to the Internet.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

As promised, here are a few photos of our get together yesterday.

A Friend from Down Under. The look on his face is enough to tell us he is having a great time.

Here is Horst, our BBQ in charge, giving a lesson on how to cook a BBQ to satisfy the most awkward person around - me

No description is necessary for this one. It is our very own Walterhog, he has a Walther P99 air pistol in his hand. He said a BBQ without some shooting is not complete.

Our friend Ken. He thought he was coming over to have an afternoon of fun and may be get a bite and a drink. He ended up being made to man the second BBQ pit. He did object at the beginning, but after Walter explained the alternative to him, he happily accepted.

Neither he nor Walter would tell us what the alternative was.

A pair of happy faces. That is Horst, who did manage to cook the meat to everyone's satisfaction, and Mohamed. Mohamed is going to be on his first safari with us next month. He is an expert photographer, so we are leaving all the camera work up to him.

walter was telling him " just make sure you do not take a photo when Saeed misses!"

No reason to be insanely jelous!!!

Those sausages are english. Some beef, alot of bread!!!
The meat is probably from Iran and of dubios origin, charcoaled far beyond death and reconnassiance. The potatoes are burned and often lighted up at night!!
The beer is alcohol free and WARM!!!
The nice thing is the pool as long you do not have a casual sip, because of Saeed's dickie-willie bathing.

Well I left early!! I had to kiss my dogs!

Walter

However, you are right .... I am jealous too!!!
Do you think I could place, on your behalf, an electric wire inside the pool. It will give the users that little funny sparkling look.

Walter and Saeeb,

Nice BBQ.

I helped 15 fifteen Norweigan Gals off the plane at Dubai Thursday and thought about you guys. Saeeb I know you are married, but Walter has never mentioned yes or no. These gals were interested in finding a good guide to tour Dubai with. I was quite disappointed to be continueing on to Muscat, but I do have to admit it was one of the best KLM flights I have been on in a long time. Have your friends check the beach, they can't miss these girls, they reminded me of the Swedish Volley Ball Team in the beer commericals.

Saludos....Frank

Saeed,

I'm sure you will be glad to know that the weather has worked out it's own problems and it seems to be settleing down to a simmer not too cold but not too hot either. [Big Grin]

I'm also thinking of going to Ellisras for the weekend of the 15th if youre still around.

Safari-Hunt,

Thank you for the weather report.

I hope it stays dry and relatively warm.

I am not too sure when we are going to be up north by Elisras, but if you email me your contact telephone number, I will glad to give you call when we are there.

It's official!!

Since I will be in Zim from 6-18 June, that means that I can say that Saeed, Walter and I were on African Safari together!

Who will know that it was not even the same country... [Big Grin]
