They are killing a lot of big elephants. Graeme Pollack, a PH/outfitter there recently posted some pictures on Facebook of 8-10 big ones.

USFW is currently reviewing all elephant import permit applications on a case by case basis. Elephants from Botswana can be imported, but it is advise to use an expert service that is familiar with the new USFW permit system to handle the application. Safari Specialty Importers offers this service as part of our First Class service provided to all clients for whom we are overseeing their import. Please reach out to us if you have questions.

My Son and I just returned from NG41. Lots of elephants. On day 11 I shot a 61 lb Bull 72” Long and 70” on the short side. We seen around 400 elephants with many stalks to judge. My bull was the largest in the 11 days. My son got his 1st old dugga boy.

Excellent, congratulations. Who has that area now?

I killed mine in NG41 as well, about the same size. I killed it just off the Chobe park cut-line road right near the village of Mababe.

Hunting Consortium email I received yesterday showed a picture of a 71x70 pounder shot in the last couple of weeks.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

Graeme’s post on FB showed one that was 80+/side and I’m not sure it was the largest of the pics. Big elephants are hitting the ground.

Oops. If you’re on FB, you might try sending a friend request. As an alternative, he is an AR member under Safari Botswana Bound IIRC. A PM from here might get a response, although he rarely posts.
