Hope the ARAs sent the lions hate mail.

It's disappointing that the actual kill was not filmed, or if it was, that it was not published by the paper.

I'm not sure how the lions would have accomplished it with an animal as large as a giraffe. I wonder if they simply started feeding and let it die slowly.

As I often say, for any animal, death from a well-placed bullet is a far better fate than death by fang and claw.

Actually both Lion and Leopard are quite "humane" when it comes to killing their prey, maybe not as efficient as a well placed bullet but definitely cleaner than the methodological dismembering and eating of a live animal such are the habits of the African Wild Dog.

There is no more a miserable death in my mind that can compare.
