Burko, sometimes referred to LePurko, lies just West of Arusha and is easily accessible by road. The area belongs to Robin Hurt Safaris. I have not actually been there but what I have heard about it is that it is a good enough area as far as Masaailand goes. It has a series of hills and mountains as well as plains which offer decent Masaailand species such as Gerenuk, Lesser kudu, oryx, grant and tommy. Buffalo mainly up on the hills and Burko and Losimangor mountains. It does have Leopard but these are extremely difficult to hunt as they have over time become very cunning due to the presence of Masaai. It takes time and patience to get them feeding during shooting light.

Good hunting!
